Kansas City has one of the most beautiful venues that I’ve been following along on Tik Tok while they do restorations. It’s a gorgeous old church called Melrose Abbey. I was lucky enough to be able to go out and do some stationery work for a styled shoot there and I’m obsessed!

Starting off with one of my favorite parts of the venue - the stunning stained glass windows! I took inspiration from the many windows in the venue for the place cards, which featured gold outlines mimicking the stained glass. The acrylic arches were tied off with handmade silk ribbon, and foiled with the names of each guest.

The vision for July 23 was bright colors, gold, and lots of light! This suite featured a lot of watercolor, including a custom watercolor painting of the venue. One of my favorite parts about it was the cutest watercolor map of Kansas City, which featured the venue as well as a few fun things to do around the area!

The table set up at Melrose Abbey was immaculate! It included one of my all time favorite menus. These were hand-bound linen menus, with custom painted lettering on the front and detailed watercolor borders on the inside.
